We invite and encourage you to attend City Council Meetings and participate in your City Government. Council Meetings are held the first four Mondays of every month (except Holidays) at 4:00 p.m. Regular City Council meetings are recorded for television and broadcast on Sparklight (previously CableOne) Channel 56. Special meetings are also broadcast on Channel 56.

Any citizen can address the Council in reference to any item on the agenda, or during "Citizen Concerns". We understand your time is valuable. Our goal is to meet your needs, and those of the community, while conducting the most efficient meeting possible. While not mandatory, we ask that you fill out a speaker card and submit it upon entering the meeting. This allows us to better serve you by being immediately aware of your concerns and inviting you to speak sooner if it refers to an item on the agenda. Also, some citizens are not able to stay for the entire meeting and it allows us information to contact them later to address their concerns. Lastly it provides an immediate, accurate record for the City Clerk to include in the minutes.
